Curated by David Curtis, this survey of the history of British artist’s film was an ambitious display of 170 works by 130 artists which aimed for the first time to reveal the full range, variety and originality of artists’ film and video in Britain.

The exhibition ran for twelve months at Tate Britain from 19 May 2003 to 18 April 2004, the catalogue is online at the Tate website and the entire programme is accessible for viewing by researchers at the Study Collection.
